Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting the guide. Visiting Sergei Paradjanov Museum. Transfer to Garni. The temple was built in the 1st century and is dedicated to the god of Sun-Mihr. It consists out of 24 columns which represent the 24 hours of the day. Khor Virap is the most famous pilgrimage site in Armenia, since this place is directly connected with the adoption of Christianity as the state religion in Armenia, in the 301st year. Further visiting the house-museum of Perch Proshyan, the house-museum of the outstanding writer Perch Proshyan (1837-1907) was created in 1948 in Ashtarak, on the basis of his parental house, to which three exhibition rooms were further attached.
